Labanan takoy covid

This is Janae's entry for the Labanan ang Covid-19 Singing Challenge sponsored by Congressman Eric Go Yap and Vice Governor Johnny Diwas Waguis of the Province of Benguet.  

In the tune of Rhinestone Cowboy, the kankanaey lyrics were composed and arranged by her mother while her dad provided the music. 

Janae just turned 9 years old this June and this is her first time to join such competition.  Although she recorded and covered some kankanaey songs previously, it still took time for her to learn how to properly pronounce the words especially so that she does not speak kankanaey although she is a kankanaey herself as her mom hailed from the Municipality of Kapangan in the Province of Benguet.  She did well although she failed to pronounced some words properly.  It will be taken as a lesson and every mistake will teach her to be better and strive harder to excel.  Success after all is not an easy road but rather a bumpy one.  It entails hard work, dedication, courage, determination and willingness to learn to be able to pursue and reach the goal.
