How to get to the Commission on Filipino Overseas (CFO) One Stop Processing Center (OSPC), Clark, Pampanga from Baguio City

Are you going to the Commission on Filipino Overseas (CFO), One Stop Processing Center (OSPC) Clark, Pampanga to process some documents?  Here is how to get there when you are coming from the City of Baguio.

OPTION A-  (IF YOU WILL RIDE THE GENESIS BUS TO CLARK)
BAGUIO TO CDC, CLARK

1.  Take the Genesis bus bound to Clark.  Their terminal is located at Governor Pack Rd. First trip is 4:00 A.M and the second trip is 6:00 A.M.  They leave on time so you need to be there earlier.  They do not accept reservations.  The conductor issues tickets inside the bus.  As of this writing, the fare cost is Php400.00. Make sure to empty your bladder at the Baguio bus station because the stopover will be at Tarlac City, approximately 3 hrs of trip.  The travel from Baguio to Clark will take around 4 hrs. 25 minutes including stopover (1 stopover at Tarlac City for about 5 minutes,  and picking up/dropping off  of passengers along the way.  I took the 4:00 A.M. trip so there wasn’t much traffic.

 2.  Inform the driver that you are going to the One Stop Processing Center so request him to drop you off at CDC from the Airport then you can walk to One Stop Processing Center (OSPC).  It could be very uncomfortable though walking when the weather is hot but doing so is exciting especially when you want to explore the place.  (Unfortunately, when I went there, the driver and conductor didn’t know where the One Stop Processing Center was located so I went out of the bus at the airport and asked directions from the security personnel: read my story here for precautions).

3.   After some minutes of walking,  at the right side you will see the  tarpaulin of One Stop Processing Center.  Enter the gate then at the left side is the One Stop Processing Center Building.  Inside the Building are the different Government agencies that includes the Commission on Filipino Overseas (CFO).

4.       When you’re done at the One Stop Processing Center (OSPC), take the jeep waiting inside the gate and ask the driver to drop you off at the main gate (Fare is Php13.00).

5.     Then take the Dau jeep ( they are parked just a few meters away) and tell the driver to drop you off at the terminal area (fare is Php8.00, the barker collects before you enter the jeep).

6.     In between the two (2) gasoline stations is a road leading to the bus terminal station, just follow it and at the left side is the North bound buses.  Take the Baguio bound bus.

7.      Travel time will take around 5 hrs.  It includes 2 stop overs, at Tarlac City and at Tuba, Benguet and picking up/dropping off of passengers along the way. Bus fare is Php306.00.

OPTION B- BAGUIO TO CLARK AIRPORT (IF YOU HAPPEN TO HAVE THE SAME EXPERIENCE AS MINE AND IF YOU WILL RIDE THE GENESIS BUS TO CLARK)

As of this writing, the fare cost is Php400.00. 2.  2.  Please note that I had to get out of the bus at the airport because the driver and the conductor didn’t know where the One Stop Processing Center (OSPC) was located…..From the airport, walk until you get out of gate 7 then turn left and wait for a yellow jeep (I walked for about  5 minutes or so).  Waiting will take some time so don’t panic, be patient.  Before you get inside the jeep, ask the driver first if it will pass to the One Stop Processing Center.  Fare is Php13.00.  You may also take a cab in the airport.  ( I didn’t do so because the first security personnel whom I talked with told me that he could call a cab for me but the fare is Php450.00 so I walked away instead and fortunately found an honest  security personnel who gave me the direction on how to get there by jeep).

3.    Ask the driver to drop you off at the One Stop Processing Center (do not just say OSPC because some doesn’t know it), then you enter the gate and at the left side is the One Stop Processing Center Building.  Inside the Building are the different Government agencies and that includes the Commission on Filipino Overseas (CFO).

OPTION 3 – FROM BAGUIO TO DAU (IF YOU WILL NOT RIDE THE GENESIS BOUND TO CLARK, AIRPORT)

I will just give a brief direction since I haven’t tried it but it will surely bring you to your destination.  I just based it on my travel back from OSPC to Baguio.

1.    Take the buses bound to Dau, Mabalacat, Pampanga.  Their terminal is located at Governor Pack Rd. It will take around 3 hrs. 30 minutes to 4 hrs.  including stopovers and picking up/dropping off of passengers.

2.     From the terminal at Dau, ride a jeep that goes up to the main gate of the Airport then transfer to another jeep (yellow color) that conveys passengers  up to the One Stop Processing Center.

Notes:

  • Make sure you have some food/water on hand and empty your bladder right at the baguio bus station especially when riding the Genesis bus to Clark because there will only be one brief  stopover.
  • Bring jacket and something to cover your head especially when traveling early morning or night because the bus  air con will make you shiver and uncomfortable.
  •  Bring umbrella to protect you from the sun or rain in case you decide to walk around or when there is sudden outpour of rain.
  • Bring a camera to capture the beautiful scenes around.
  •  Make sure to have a fully charged phone battery or power bank to keep you in touch with your families more so that you need to communicate with them when you need some vital information you do not have at the moment.
  •  Have coins or smaller bills for fare.
  •  There is a canteen at the One Stop Processing Center if you don’t like to walk away from the place. They have free wi-fi as well.
  • Don’t get nervous if it’s your first time to go there.  It isn’t complicated to move from one place to another.  The people are helpful and will give you directions but don’t expect everyone to be well familiar with the place but it doesn't hurt to keep asking.
  • Lastly, enjoy the trip, it’s worth it.  😇
