Pan grilled pork belly : PINAYs' EASY RECIPE

Craving for grilled pork belly?  Here is one way of doing it without much hassles and need for sophisticated machines or appliances.  All you need is a grilling pan that you can put on top of your stove.  This pan grilled pork belly recipe will surely satisfy your palate so come on let's do pan-grilling right at the comfort of our own kitchen.





INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 kg. pork belly
  • cooking oil

FOR MARINADE:

  • 1 tbsp. worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup catsup
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce/marinade
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder or 4 cloves crushed garlic
  • 3 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
PROCEDURE:


  • combine all ingredients for marinade then marinate the pork for about 2 hours or preferably overnight.
  • simmer the meat with the marinade about 10 minutes (don't forget to keep flipping so both sides get cooked)
  • heat the pan then grease the base with cooking oil
  • when it's hot enough, reduce the heat to low then grill the meat (set aside the sauce)
  • flip and make sure the meat won't get burned
  • when both sides are done, turn off the stove
  • slice then serve with the sauce (reheat the sauce then add cornstarch to make it thicker)
