Preserving fruits by freezing

We live in a place where it would be time consuming and too costly to go to the market everyday to buy fruits for our daily needs,  so what I normally do is buy our one week supply at once. Fruits, however, won't last a week so most often than not, they just get over ripe or rot and end up in the trash.
Throwing food is not a good idea at all especially with the spiraling cost of commodities nowadays.  Every penny spent for something should be valued and never wasted.

Preservation of fruits is one way to avoid wastage. It could be done in numerous ways.  But don't you know that you can preserve fruits by freezing? Yes you can.  You can freeze  grapes, watermelon, melon, pineapple, strawberries, banana, mango and some others. Although some may not be eaten as is right from the freezer or after defrosting because they become watery and not as crispy anymore as the fresh ones, there are several ways of preparing them  to make recipes that are not just yummy, healthy, and clean but you are spending lesser for food that has all natural ingredients as compared when buying outside.

Among the recipes you can make out of  frozen fruits are smoothies, shakes, ice cream, yogurt and many more.

All you have to do is peel, slice, put inside the zip bag or cellophane, freeze and bring out when needed. Pack them in small quantities.  They could last more than a month.  It could even go beyond.
