Madaymen, Kibungan, Benguet

Cordillera is not only famous for it's majestic human made rice terraces but beautiful vegetable terraces could be found here as well.   These beautiful vegetable terraces are mostly found in Benguet particularly in the municipalities of Buguias (i. e. Natubleng, Sinipsip, Loo, Baculongan, Bangao),  Atok (i.e. Sayangan, Caliking),  Kibungan (Madaymen) Kabayan (i.e.  Tawangan, Babalak), Bakun (Bagtangan), Tuba (Poblacion).

Mountain Province and Ifugao (Tinoc) also have their vegetable terraces but not as much as Benguet has.

Most of the crops planted in these vegetable terraces are cabbage, womboc (chinese cabbage), potatoes and carrots.  Some also planted sweet peas, beans, cucumber, brocolli and cauliflower.

These products when harvested are delivered to the La Trinidad Trading Post and at the Baguio Public Market for wholesale to the traders coming from Manila, La Union or Pangasinan and some other nearby places,  who in turn distribute to the different trading centers for retail.  These products are considered gold when the price is high but they could also be wasted and just left to rot in the garden when the cost of delivering them to the market is more than it's selling price.

Among these vegetable terraces i have personally seen so far are: Madaymen, Natubleng, Sinipsip, Tawangan, Loo and Tinoc.

A lot more are not included in the list.   Anyone who knows of any other places not mentioned here may leave a comment so I could include and update it.   I would appreciate it so much if you could also include some information about it as well.
