Is chivalry dying?

  • "Once I tried offering my seat to a girl.  She just stuck her butt and didn't care to say 'thank you'.  Since then I never dared."
(When you're tired, will you ever think about it?)
  • "Women think it's a man's obligation.  I think it's foolish, specially during rush hours".
  • "If they think they are our equals, then they should prove it.
(The world has changed.  Males have even longer hair")
  • "I think moden women are more flexibe.  They will understand men if and when they forget to offer the seat".
(When I see that the woman is fine, then i will not mind.  Some other women even look like butch.")
  • "It's part vs. whole.  If you don't see other guys doing it, would you have the motivation?"
("How can i give seat when with the volume of people riding, I can't even get one")
Those were just some of the reasons cited by some men. (source: moneysaver magazine).  How about you guys, maybe you have something in mind for not doing so? On the women's side, do you think the reasons have justified the act? Please feel free to speak your mind :)
